Citation Longitude Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. Built on the core principles of safety, service, and integrity, EJM is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a flight department that is taking delivery of a new 2024 Citation Longitude aircraft.
This position is based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at CBF airport, and requires residing within driving distance. The flight department consists of a three-pilot team supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 and Part 135 with an average of 400 flight hours annually.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring safe operation of flight, including compliance with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completing flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks.
- Leading briefings using Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks to ensure mission readiness, including verification of maintenance status and recording discrepancies.
- Monitoring and managing aircraft ground servicing items, such as fueling, oil, and oxygen.
- Conducting passenger briefings and delivering exceptional customer service, addressing special needs as required.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel.
- Providing high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolve service deviations.
- Collaborating with crew members and EJM partners to ensure consistent service delivery, resolving conflicts professionally.
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns.
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
Experience:
- 4-6 years of aviation experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
