Gulfstream 550 Pilot in Command (PIC) - Bradley, CT (KBDL)
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified and experienced Gulfstream 550 Pilot in Command (PIC) to be based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, built upon a foundation of safety, service, and integrity. This position operates under Part 91 with a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, while delivering an exceptional service experience. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verification of maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable and records all discrepancies per SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation. Delivers exceptional customer service and accommodates any special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience, resolving conflicts constructively.
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications:
- Must reside within two hours of Bradley, CT (KBDL).
- Extensive Gulfstream experience is required.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in Gulfstream aircraft is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
EJM offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 - $425,000
