Citation 560XLS Pilot Position - Executive Jet Management

Purpose of Position:
This position involves operating a Citation 560XLS aircraft under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations for a managed client and charter operations, respectively. The role averages 400 hours of annual flight time. The aircraft is based at Bridgeport, Connecticut (BDR), with the majority of owner trips originating and departing from this location, with frequent trips to Sarasota, Florida. The ideal candidate will be an experienced corporate pilot residing within driving distance of a major airport hub in the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for ensuring the aircraft is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies. The PIC is responsible for delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers. Specific responsibilities include:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Complying with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completing flight planning, performance, weight and balance calculations for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completing all pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status of the aircraft to ensure it is mission capable.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivering the highest level of customer service and addressing any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and timely with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing high-quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers. Resolving conflicts and challenges effectively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety concerns or non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Certifications and Licenses: FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), First Class Medical Certificate.
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience, with prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type Rating: In applicable fleet.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
