Embraer Legacy Pilot - Miami, FL
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly skilled and motivated pilot to join their team in Miami (KOPF) operating an Embraer Legacy. This position offers the opportunity to work with a discerning clientele, flying both Part 91 and 135 operations within a well-structured schedule.
The Role:
This two-pilot account serves a family's travel needs, encompassing both personal and retail charter flights, often strategically combined for maximum efficiency. International travel is a key component of this role, with multiple trips scheduled annually. While international experience is highly valued, it is not a prerequisite.
Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds the critical responsibility of ensuring safe and efficient aircraft operation. This includes:
- Safety First: Maintaining unwavering compliance with company and regulatory standards for all crewing, trip assignments, and flight operations.
- Meticulous Planning: Executing detailed flight planning, including performance calculations, weight and balance assessments, and comprehensive risk mitigation strategies utilizing the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
- Seamless Operations: Demonstrating a strong command of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating effectively with ground personnel, and acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Technical Proficiency: Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft maintenance compliance, and diligently documenting any discrepancies.
- Exceptional Service: Delivering a premium experience for owners and passengers by providing comprehensive briefings, anticipating needs, and ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout the journey.
- Effective Communication: Utilizing strong Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) skills to maintain clear and timely communication with crew members and support personnel in all situations.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- FAA Type rating on applicable Embraer Legacy aircraft
- Minimum Flight Experience:
- 3500 hours total flight time
- 1500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 2000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)
- 500 hours PIC MEL
- 300 hours instrument flight time
- 500 hours jet time
- Prior corporate/business aviation experience is strongly preferred
