Challenger CL300 Pilot Position - Executive Jet Management
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot to join its team. This position is based in Chicago, Illinois, at MDW airport, and offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated Maintenance Technician and fly a Challenger CL300 aircraft. The position is a two-pilot account, primarily operating under Part 135 with no retail charter operations, and includes some Part 91 flights.
Purpose of the Position:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) will be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This will entail adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Responsibilities:
Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensure crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Complete flight planning, performance, weight and balance tasks for each assignment as needed.
- Implement Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinate with company personnel as required.
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, including assessing the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure it is mission capable.
- Record all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitor and ensure all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Deliver comprehensive passenger briefings, ensuring adherence to company policy and regulations.
- Provide the highest level of customer service, addressing any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Exceptional Service Experience:
- Deliver quality service to owners and passengers while identifying and addressing service improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent and high-quality service experience.
- Resolve conflict and challenges in a professional manner.
Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and report any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
Certifications and Licenses:
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
Years of Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience, with prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Location:
This position requires residing within driving distance of Midway airport and is not commutable.
