Second in Command - Global 5000/6000 Vision

Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified Second in Command to support its managed fleet of Global 5000/6000 Vision aircraft. EJM, a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter since 1977, operates with the core principles of safety, service, and integrity. This home-based position requires a commitment to exceptional performance and customer service within a dynamic and regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

The Second in Command will execute pilot duties in full compliance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent instructions. This role encompasses a commitment to the company’s safety, security, and quality goals through active participation in the Safety Management System (SMS) and reporting any safety or non-compliance observations.

Further responsibilities include post-flight aircraft interior duties such as debris removal from the cockpit, removal of catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the Pilot in Command (PIC). The Second in Command will also coordinate catering and other cabin items as required by the Flight Operations Center, and provide the highest level of customer service at all times. The role requires close coordination with the Chief Pilot regarding work schedules, including logging and reporting flight and duty times. Additionally, the Second in Command must maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate and provide a copy to the Flight Operations Training Department.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
  • First Class Medical Certificate

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess strong prioritization and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple high-level priorities, and proactive decision-making skills. They must maintain a valid First-Class Medical certificate and be willing to obtain a FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet type. This position also requires upholding service standards within a strict regulatory environment and demonstrated strong customer service skills.

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total flight time: 2500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
  • Pilot in Command: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 150 hours
  • Jet: 250 hours
  • Turbine Engine: 100 hours

Preference will be given to candidates with Global experience.

This position includes a monthly schedule with 5 hard days off each month, and a flying schedule of up to 16 days per month, including travel and training, to domestic and international locations.
