Position Overview
Executive Jet Management is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position based in Windsor Locks, CT (KBDL). This role supports a dedicated Part 91 flight operation featuring a Global 6000 aircraft, with the anticipated delivery of a new Global 7500 in late August. This account is meticulously supported by a six-pilot crew, a dedicated full-time Maintenance Technician, two Cabin Attendants, and a full-time Key Account Manager responsible for coordinating account details and crew support. The operation anticipates flying approximately 550 hours annually and involves up to 70% global travel.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate authority and responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This position requires strict adherence to all company procedures and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Key Responsibilities

Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizes the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and effectively mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Performs all required aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verification of the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records all aircraft discrepancies as per company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures proper accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in line with company policy and regulations. Delivers the highest level of customer service and accommodates any special passenger needs.
- Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.

Delivering Exceptional Service:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience. Resolves conflicts and challenges professionally.

Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains all required regulatory and company training and ensures recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
- Must possess a current FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Global 6000/7500). Consideration may be given to candidates with other significant Bombardier experience.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position.
- Demonstrated extensive experience conducting flights across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans is required.
- Candidates must reside within a two-hour radius of Bradley International Airport (KBDL). Relocation to within this radius is required if residing outside; commuting is not permitted for this position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- Pilot in Command (MEL): 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range
For the Large/Heavy/Premium cabin size aircraft, the Base Salary Range is $160,000 – $425,000.
