Global 6000 / Global 7500 Pilot in Command (PIC)
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977 and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position. This position is for a Pilot in Command on a Global 6000 aircraft, transitioning to a new Global 7500 in late August, based at Windsor Locks, CT (KBDL). This is a dedicated 6-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and two Cabin Attendants, operating under Part 91 regulations. A full-time Key Account Manager provides essential coordination and support for account management and crew needs.
The account operates approximately 550 flight hours annually, with global travel comprising up to 70% of operations. Qualified candidates must possess extensive experience flying across both the Atlantic and Pacific regions. A type rating and currency in the Global 6000 or Global 7500 is required, though other Bombardier experience may be considered. Candidates must reside within a two-hour radius of Bradley International Airport (KBDL). Please note: Commuting is strictly prohibited for this position. Candidates living outside this radius without the intent to relocate will not be suitable for this account.
The Pilot in Command holds the final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC complies with all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of flight, delivering an exceptional service experience, and maintaining proficiency and compliance.
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks as required for each assignment.
- Utilizes the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required.
- Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure mission capability.
- Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulation.
- Delivers the highest level of customer service and addresses any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and in a timely manner with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience to owners and passengers.
- Resolves conflict and challenges in an acceptable manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate channels.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Global 6000/7500).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Candidates must meet the following minimum flight time requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
