Global 6000 Pilot in Command - Executive Jet Management
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000 aircraft based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Connecticut. EJM has been a leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977. This position supports a 6-pilot account operating under Part 91 regulations, complemented by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant. The aircraft flies approximately 500 hours annually, with over 50% of flights being international. The successful candidate will reside or relocate within a two-hour driving distance of KBDL. Preference will be given to pilots who are typed and current in the GL6000 or GL7500, with extensive global flight experience and adaptability to frequent itinerary changes. Flexibility and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Please note that this is not a home-based position.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensures crew assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status of the aircraft. Records all aircraft discrepancies.
- Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished.
- Completes passenger briefings and delivers the highest level of customer service, catering to any special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel.
- Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Regularly investigates and resolves service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience. Resolves conflicts constructively.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety or non-compliance concerns.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (GL6000 or GL7500 preferred).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 – $425,000
