Pilot in Command - Global 5000 Vision Jet
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 5000 Vision aircraft based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL), Connecticut. This is a three-pilot operation, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, operating under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The position entails approximately 400 annual flight hours (100 Part 91, 300 Part 135). Only candidates with a Global Vision type rating and extensive international experience will be considered.
Purpose:
The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring adherence to all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Safe Operation of Flight:
- Ensure compliance with all crewing and trip assignments.
- Complete flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance.
- Utilize Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Perform pre-flight aircraft inspections, recording discrepancies as per SOPs.
- Oversee aircraft ground servicing.
- Conduct passenger briefings, providing exceptional customer service and accommodating special needs.
- Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques for effective communication.
Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provide superior service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborate with crew members and internal partners to maintain consistent service.
- Effectively manage conflict.
Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintain all necessary regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Comply with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting safety concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA type rating in the Global Vision aircraft is mandatory. Applicants without Global Vision experience will not be considered.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $432,000
