Lead Pilot in Command - Global 6000V
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a subsidiary of NetJets and part of the world's largest private aviation infrastructure, seeks a highly qualified Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its flight department based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). EJM is a renowned leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services, with a steadfast commitment to safety, service, and integrity.
Purpose of Position:
This role is part of a six-pilot account operating under Part 91 regulations, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and a Cabin Attendant. The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader, fostering effective crew resource management, prioritizing exceptional client service, and ensuring completion of flight department administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will possess extensive international experience, a global vision, and reside within a two-hour drive of Bradley International Airport. This position requires flexibility to accommodate a dynamic schedule, with an estimated annual flight time of 400 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads Flight Department Success:
- Manages crucial client relationships, effectively balancing client needs with EJM's operational requirements.
- Collaborates closely with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all aircraft maintenance events, scheduled and unscheduled, and timely completion of essential tasks.
- Handles other account-specific responsibilities, such as invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling.
- Provides guidance and support to flight department crew members, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and EJM brand representation.
- Effectively manages flight department administrative matters, including supply procurement, subscriptions, and crew schedules, maintaining open communication with all crew members.
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Maintains adherence to company and regulatory requirements for crew assignments and trip planning.
- Conducts thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments.
- Leads pre-flight briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology, proactively mitigating operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with relevant personnel as needed, acting as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Ensures aircraft pre-flight inspections, addressing all discrepancies according to company SOPs and confirming mission capability.
- Supervises aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen, in accordance with established procedures.
- Delivers comprehensive passenger briefings adhering to company policies and regulations, prioritizing exceptional customer service and accommodating any special needs.
- Leverages Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivers an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Provides high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience for all clients, resolving conflicts and challenges effectively.
Maintains Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains currency with regulatory and company-required training and experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, promptly reporting any safety concerns or non-compliance through established channels.
- Ensures all crew members maintain appropriate qualifications for their assigned roles in accordance with regulations and company policy.
- Monitors crew member compliance with company policies and oversees necessary audits.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience in aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours

Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $117,000 - $438,500
