Lead Pilot in Command - Global 6000V - Bradley, CT
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000V aircraft based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). EJM has been a pioneering leader in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, offering unrivaled resources and operational stability within the private aviation sector. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team on a 6-pilot account, supported by a Maintenance Technician and a Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Lead PIC serves as a peer leader within the flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, exceptional client service, and the diligent completion of flight department administrative duties. This role involves active participation in the flying schedule while adhering to all PIC duties and expectations. The aircraft flies approximately 400 hours annually.
Responsibilities:
- Leads Flight Department Success: Manages client relationships, proactively addressing potential issues and opportunities. Collaborates with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all aircraft maintenance events. Completes duties related to aircraft ownership, such as invoice reviews, vendor relations, and crew schedules. Supports flight department crew members, reporting concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot. Manages flight department administration matters, including supplies and crew schedules.
- Ensures Safe Operation of Flight: Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with regulations and company requirements. Completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks. Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks. Complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator. Completes aircraft pre-flight tasks and records discrepancies. Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items are monitored. Delivers passenger briefings and meets passenger needs. Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during operations.
- Delivers Exceptional Service Experience: Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM experience. Resolves service deviations and collaborates with crew members to provide a consistent service experience.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance: Maintains required training and recency of experience. Complies with the company's SMS program and reports safety concerns. Ensures all crewmembers remain qualified and comply with company policies.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Extensive international experience and global vision experience required.
- Must reside within a two-hour drive of Bradley, CT (BDL).
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions associated with the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $117,000 – $438,500.
