Exceptional Opportunity: Pilot in Command - Global 6000V
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Pilot in Command for a Global 6000V aircraft based in Columbus, OH (KCMH). This position offers the opportunity to join a dedicated two-pilot account, supported by a Maintenance Technician and two Flight Attendants, operating under Part 91 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command (PIC) holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes:
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensuring all crew and trip assignments adhere to company and regulatory requirements.
- Diligently conducting flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each flight.
- Leading pre-flight briefings using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) methodology to proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Maintaining strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acting as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completing thorough pre-flight inspections, meticulously documenting discrepancies, and ensuring the aircraft's mission readiness.
- Overseeing ground servicing operations (fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with established SOPs.
- Providing comprehensive passenger briefings that meet both regulatory standards and company policies, while demonstrating exceptional customer service and accommodating individual needs.
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication within the crew and with support personnel during all phases of flight.
Service Excellence:
- Delivering a consistently superior service experience for aircraft owners and passengers, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance EJM's renowned service standards.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all passengers.
- Demonstrating professionalism and composure in addressing and resolving service deviations and challenges.
Professional Development:
- Maintaining all regulatory and company-mandated training requirements, ensuring recency of experience.
- Actively participating in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program, promptly reporting safety concerns and non-compliance issues through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly desirable.
- FAA Type rating on the Global 6000V.
- Proven ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
