About the Role

The Pilot (First Officer) is entrusted with ensuring the highest standards of safety and service for NetJets Owners and passengers. This position requires a professional aviator capable of delivering a superior air transportation experience, functioning as both a technically proficient pilot and an attentive in-flight service provider. The Pilot holds ultimate command of the aircraft and must maintain professionalism at all times, ensuring a seamless and luxurious travel experience from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the aircraft in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, and NetJets' Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
• Greet passengers, provide flight briefings, and communicate itinerary updates and weather information.
• Deliver in-flight services, including catering and alcohol service.
• Stow baggage properly on the aircraft.
• Accommodate flights for passengers with pets and those who smoke.
• Serve as the final authority on aircraft operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidance.
• Liaise between Owners/passengers and NetJets throughout the flight.
• Communicate and document any aircraft maintenance issues to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC).
• Complete all required paperwork related to maintenance discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma

Certifications and Licenses

• Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
• First Class Medical Certificate
• FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
• Valid Passport
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction
• Valid State Driver's License

Experience and Skills

• At least 21 years of age
• Minimum flight time experience: 1,500 hours total, or 1,250 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
• 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm)
• 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time
• 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings
• 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time)
• 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time
• ATP written completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training
• Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Extreme flexibility and ability to adjust to rapid changes.
• Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times.
• Willingness to be away from home for seven or more days and nights, staying in hotels.
• Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
• Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screening.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
• Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and the ability to make a positive impression.
• Strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to work around animals and handle them prior to, during, and after flights.
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
