About the Role
The Pilot acts as final authority for all aircraft operations, ensuring strict adherence to FAA guidelines and NetJets' operational manuals. This role is central to the NetJets Owner experience, requiring a concierge-level service approach. Responsibilities include: greeting Owners, pre-flight briefings, itinerary verification, weather/safety updates, in-flight services (catering, beverages), baggage handling, accommodating Owners with pets or who smoke, and meticulously communicating maintenance abnormalities. This demanding position requires significant flexibility, varying hours, extended duty periods across time zones, and considerable time away from home.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and meet stringent FAA requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with a multi-engine rating. The ATP written examination must be completed prior to Indoctrination Training.
Required Certifications, Licenses & Experience:

Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate; FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.

Valid U.S. passport for unrestricted international travel; Valid State Driver's License; U.S. work authorization.

Ability to obtain airport authority/US Customs security badges and pass TSA background screenings.

Minimum 21 years of age.

Total Flight Time (one of the following per FAA 61.160 for ATP/R-ATP):

1,500 hours total.

1,250 hours with appropriate university Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate.

1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or appropriate university Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate.

Specific Hour Requirements:

200 hours cross-country (>50 nm); 250 hours fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC).

100 hours night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs/landings).

75 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight; excludes simulator time).

50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
