Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience, maintaining a safety record that is second to none. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot delivers technically accurate and safe transportation while providing an exceptional concierge-level service experience for every Owner and passenger. The Pilot acts as the final authority on the aircraft at all times and must maintain the highest standards of professional conduct.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe aircraft operation during all phases of flight, adhering to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Conduct pre-flight interactions, including passenger briefings, itinerary verification, and safety updates.
  • Perform in-flight service duties, including catering and alcohol service as required.
  • Manage baggage loading and stowage.
  • Facilitate flights for passengers with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between passengers and NetJets throughout the entire travel experience.
  • Communicate and document maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC).

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written exam (completed prior to Indoctrination Training).
  • Valid FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid U.S. Passport and a valid State driver's license.

Flight Experience Qualifications

Candidates must hold an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, meeting the following criteria (IAW 61.160):

  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Total flight time: 1,500 hours (or 1,000–1,250 hours with qualifying military or university R-ATP credentials).
  • 200 hours cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
  • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
  • 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time.
  • 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings).
  • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight).

Core Competencies and Skills

  • Demonstrate adaptability, collaboration, and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills under pressure.
  • Ability to pass TSA background screenings and secure necessary airport/US Customs security badges.
  • Physical ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
