Position Overview

NetJets, the global private aviation leader, is seeking a professional Pilot (First Officer) for the South Region. This role is responsible for providing a superior, safe air transportation experience. The successful candidate will serve as both a skilled aviator and a concierge-level service provider, ensuring the highest standards of safety, personalized service, and operational excellence for all NetJets Owners and passengers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain full command of the aircraft, ensuring safe operations during taxi, take-off, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, and company operating manuals.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for passengers from arrival at the FBO until departure at the final destination.
  • Provide comprehensive in-flight services, including catering management and the handling of alcohol.
  • Manage aircraft loading, including baggage handling.
  • Facilitate flights for passengers with pets and those who smoke.
  • Brief passengers on trip itineraries, weather updates, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate and document any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC).

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Completed FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written examination prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
  • Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit and a valid passport.

Flight Experience

Candidates must meet FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate requirements (IAW 61.160), including:

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Relevant flight hours based on qualification path (1,000 to 1,500 hours total time).
  • 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
  • 200 hours of cross-country flight time.
  • 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with 45 night takeoffs/landings).
  • 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.

Skills and Core Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented, professional, and well-groomed demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of performing under pressure.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate, and detail-oriented decisions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction.
  • Ability to pass all required TSA, airport, and U.S. Customs background screenings.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

This position requires extreme flexibility. Schedules vary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Duties may involve 14-hour days for up to eight consecutive days, including overnight stays away from home. Candidates must be able to manage personal rest periods effectively to remain prepared for duty at all times.
