Purpose of Position
The Pilot (First Officer) is responsible for ensuring a superior air transportation experience with an exceptional safety record on every flight. The Pilot represents NetJets, providing technically proficient and safe transportation alongside an exceptional service experience for all NetJets Owners and passengers. This role demands versatility, encompassing the duties of a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider, aiming to deliver a concierge-level service experience. The Pilot maintains full command of the aircraft at all times and is expected to uphold a professional demeanor.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft from taxi to landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, provide introductions, brief them on the flight/trip, verify the itinerary, and offer weather updates and safety briefings, explaining any itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service as required, including the service of alcohol and catering.
- Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Handle and conduct flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Serve as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational areas, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have safely landed and departed the final FBO.
- Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the assigned Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Complete all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on specific assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with a multi-engine rating, including:
- At least 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours total flight time experience; or
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate; or
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification; or
- 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (greater than 50 nautical miles).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with 45 or more night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Extreme flexibility and the ability to adjust to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage personal rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times.
- Willingness to undertake duty periods that may last up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning different time zones and experiencing extreme weather variations.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, staying in hotels.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration required background screening and secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Possession of a valid United States passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including strong capabilities for effective passenger interaction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while maintaining close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger service perspective.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work around animals, including their handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range
$86,015 - $117,706
