About the Role

NetJets, the global private aviation leader, seeks a Pilot (First Officer) to provide a superior air transportation experience defined by unwavering safety, personalized service, and reliable global access. This role is integral to the NetJets experience, serving as the face of the company and ensuring both technical safety and exceptional service for every NetJets Owner and passenger. The Pilot will perform duties ranging from professional aviation to in-flight service, maintaining a professional demeanor and full command of the aircraft at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe operation of the aircraft in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
  • Greet Owners/passengers pre-flight, provide flight and itinerary briefings, offer weather updates, and conduct safety briefings.
  • Deliver in-flight services, including the handling of alcohol and catering.
  • Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft.
  • Accommodate flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, including compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from FBO arrival to departure.
  • Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Aircraft Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications and Licenses

  • Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
  • First Class Medical Certificate

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, including:
    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
    • 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
    • 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
    • 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
    • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
    • Completion of ATP written exam prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
    • 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
    • Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
    • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
    • Valid passport.
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. and unrestricted international travel.
    • Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
    • Extreme flexibility and ability to adapt to rapid changes.
    • Ability to manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times.
    • Capacity to handle duty periods of up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially across different time zones and weather conditions.
    • Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, residing in hotels.
    • Ability to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
    • Ability to pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background screening.
    • Valid United States passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
    • Valid State driver's license.
    • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
    • Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and the ability to make a positive impression, including strong passenger interaction skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
    • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions with close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger service perspective.
    • Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Ability to work around animals, including handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
    • Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
