Position Purpose:
The Pilot is entrusted with ensuring a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. As the representative of NetJets, the Pilot is responsible for not only the technical proficiency and safety of the flight but also for delivering an exceptional service experience to every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role requires the Pilot to expertly manage diverse responsibilities, ranging from professional aviator duties to in-flight service provision, culminating in a concierge-level experience. The Pilot holds ultimate command of the aircraft at all times and must consistently uphold a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft during taxi, takeoff, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). This includes greeting Owners/passengers pre-flight, conducting introductions, providing flight details, verifying itineraries, and offering weather updates and safety briefings, as well as communicating any itinerary changes.
- Providing in-flight service as required, including the responsible handling of alcoholic beverages and the service of catering.
- Efficiently loading and properly stowing all baggage on the aircraft as needed.
- Comfortably handling and conducting flights for Owners who may have pets or who smoke.
- Acting as the ultimate authority on the aircraft concerning all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the FBO arrival until safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the assigned Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Accurately completing all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned based on specific assignments.
Qualifications:

- Certifications and Licenses:
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- First Class Medical Certificate

- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Possession of an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meeting the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, in accordance with FAR 61.160:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nautical miles).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-In-Command (PIC) flight time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with a minimum of 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, simulator time excluded).
- Completion of the ATP written exam prior to the commencement of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine flight time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and the ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Capability to manage personal rest schedules to ensure flight duty readiness at all times.
- Willingness to undertake duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing significant weather variations.
- Readiness for extended periods away from home (seven or more days and nights), including hotel accommodations.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration required background screening and ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Possession of a valid United States passport with unrestricted international travel capabilities.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a proven ability to make a positive impression, including exceptional interpersonal skills for effective passenger interaction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift, accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical flight operations and passenger service aspects.
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and ability to work around animals, including their handling and care before, during, and after Owner flights.
- Willingness to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Salary Range:
$86,015 - $117,706
