Position Purpose
The Pilot is entrusted with providing a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. As the representative of NetJets, the Pilot delivers not only technically proficient and safe transport but also an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, encompassing the duties of a professional aviator and an in-flight service provider to ensure a concierge-level experience. The Pilot holds ultimate command of the aircraft at all times and must consistently uphold professional conduct.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off, and landing, adhering to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Greets Owners/passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on flight specifics, verifies itineraries, and offers updated weather information and safety briefings, communicating any itinerary changes.
- Provides in-flight services as required, including the handling and service of alcohol and catering.
- Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft as necessary.
- Accommodates flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Serves as the ultimate authority on the aircraft, responsible for all operational areas and compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Acts as a crucial liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the moment passengers arrive at the FBO until they have safely landed and departed the final FBO.
- Communicates any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies accurately to the Company via the on-duty Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller for their fleet.
- Completes all required paperwork associated with maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performs other duties as assigned, based on specific assignments.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet requirements for FAA ATP or R-ATP with a multi-engine rating, including:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours total flight time, or variations with university R-ATP certificates or military pilot qualifications.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight; excludes simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the start of indoctrination training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport with authorization to work in and travel internationally without restriction.
- Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and the capacity to adapt to rapid changes.
- Ability to manage personal rest to ensure flight duty readiness at all times.
- Availability for duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, lodging in hotels.
- Capability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Possession of a valid United States passport, permitting unrestricted international travel.
- A valid State driver's license.
- Fluent proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Strong service orientation, maintaining a neat and well-groomed appearance, with a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression and interact effectively with passengers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift and accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical operations and passenger service.
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and capability working around animals, including their handling and care during flights.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
