Purpose of the Position
The Pilot is entrusted with providing a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an unparalleled safety record on every flight. Serving as the definitive representative of NetJets, the Pilot delivers not only technically proficient and secure transportation but also an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger. This role demands versatility, requiring the Pilot to perform a range of duties from professional aviator to in-flight service provider, ensuring a concierge-level service experience. The Pilot holds ultimate command of the aircraft at all times and must consistently uphold a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensures the safe operation of the aircraft, adhering to FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) for all phases of flight, including taxi, take-off, and landing.
- Greets Owners and passengers pre-flight, provides introductions, briefs them on the flight details, verifies the itinerary, and offers weather updates and safety briefings, explaining any itinerary adjustments.
- Delivers in-flight services as required, including the responsible handling of alcoholic beverages and the service of catering.
- Loads and properly stows all baggage on the aircraft.
- Accommodates flights for Owners traveling with pets and for those who smoke.
- Acts as the final authority for all operational aspects of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serves as a primary liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until their safe departure from the final FBO.
- Communicates any aircraft maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies accurately to the Company via the assigned Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller.
- Completes all required documentation related to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- Current First Class Medical Certificate

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- Possession of an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating, in accordance with FAR 61.160, including:
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- 1,500 hours of total flight time, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- 250 hours of fixed-wing Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with a minimum of 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time).
- ATP written exam completed prior to the commencement of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S., with unrestricted international travel capability.
- Availability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid changes in scheduling and operational demands.
- Ability to manage personal rest schedules to ensure readiness for flight duty at all times.
- Capability to perform duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing diverse weather conditions.
- Readiness to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, including overnight stays in hotels.
- Ability to obtain required airport authority and U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Valid United States driver's license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and fluent spoken and understanding of the English language.
- Strong service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression, including effective passenger interaction skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely and accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in both technical and passenger-service aspects.
- Physical capacity to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and ability to work around animals, including their handling and care.
- Capability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
