Purpose of Position
The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience while maintaining an unblemished safety record on every flight. As the face of NetJets, the Pilot not only ensures technically proficient and safe transportation but also delivers an exceptional service experience for every NetJets Owner and passenger.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight (taxi, takeoff, landing) in strict adherence to FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets FOM/AOM, and SOPs.
- Providing exceptional customer service by greeting Owners/passengers, conducting pre-flight briefings, verifying itineraries, providing weather updates, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Delivering in-flight service as required, including catering and handling of alcoholic beverages.
- Loading and securing baggage according to safety regulations.
- Accommodating flights for Owners traveling with pets or requiring smoking accommodations.
- Acting as the final authority on the aircraft regarding all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Serving as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets, ensuring a seamless experience from arrival at the FBO to departure at the final destination.
- Reporting any maintenance issues to NetJets MCC and completing associated documentation.
- Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the operation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Meet FAA ATP or R-ATP certification requirements (IAW 61.160) with multi-engine rating, including:
- At least 21 years of age
- 1,500 hours total flight time (or applicable requirements with R-ATP certificates or military qualifications)
- 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm) flight time
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
- 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings)
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight)
- ATP written exam completed before Indoctrination Training
- 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid passport with ability to travel internationally without restrictions
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to manage rest effectively to maintain flight readiness throughout tours.
- Ability to work up to fourteen-hour duty days for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning time zones and encountering diverse weather conditions.
- Willingness to be away from home for seven or more days at a time.
- Ability to obtain required airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Ability to pass TSA background checks.
- Valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Service-oriented with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, particularly under pressure.
- Strong decision-making ability with attention to detail, balancing technical expertise with passenger service.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Comfortable working around and handling animals.
- Willingness to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range
$69,932 - $95,696
