Pilot Role and Responsibilities
The primary objective of the Pilot is to provide a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an impeccable safety record on every flight. The Pilot serves as the primary representative of NetJets, ensuring technically sound and safe operations, coupled with an exceptional service encounter for each NetJets Owner and passenger. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi through take-off and landing, adhering to all FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs).
- Engaging with Owners/passengers pre-flight, providing introductions, detailed flight briefings, verifying itineraries, and delivering weather updates and safety briefings, while effectively communicating any itinerary changes.
- Providing in-flight service as required, including the responsible handling of alcoholic beverages and catering services.
- Loading and properly stowing all baggage on board the aircraft.
- Accommodating flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
- Acting as the ultimate authority on the aircraft regarding all operational matters, ensuring strict compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serving as the crucial liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from the moment Owners/passengers arrive at the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) until their safe disembarkation at their final destination.
- Effectively communicating any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the NetJets Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty.
- Accurately completing all necessary paperwork related to maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies.
- Performing other duties as assigned, depending on specific flight assignments and operational needs.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
- Current First-Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs):
- FAA ATP, Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or meet the requirements for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating, including:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- 1,500 hours total flight time, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification or an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time (>50 nm).
- 250 hours as fixed-wing Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with a minimum of 45 night takeoffs and landings.
- 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, simulator time excluded).
- Completion of the ATP written exam prior to the start of Indoctrination Training.
- 50 hours of fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
- Current FAA First-Class Medical certificate.
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction.
- Availability to work varied hours, including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Exceptional flexibility and demonstrated ability to adapt to rapid changes.
- Capability to manage rest periods to ensure preparedness for flight duties at all times.
- Willingness to undertake duty periods of up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight consecutive days, potentially spanning multiple time zones and experiencing diverse weather conditions.
- Ability to be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights, including overnight stays in hotels.
- Ability to secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
- Successful completion of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) required background screening.
- Valid State driver's license.
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
- Strong service orientation with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a proven ability to make a positive impression, coupled with excellent passenger interaction skills.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, particularly under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to make swift and accurate decisions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, encompassing both technical and passenger service aspects.
- Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Comfort and ability to work around animals, including handling and care pre-flight, during, and post-flight.
- Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
