B1900 Captain and First Officer - National Airways Corporation

National Airways Corporation is seeking experienced B1900 Captains and First Officers for its Contracts team. These permanent positions involve undertaking contract flying assignments, including charter operations and travel to high-risk areas, on a B1900 aircraft. The roles are based in Lanseria when Johannesburg-based.

About the Role

Perform contract flying assignments on the B1900 aircraft as part of the National Airways Corporation Contracts team.
Undertake contract assignments lasting between six and nine weeks.
Operate charter flights from Lanseria when Johannesburg-based and as required.
Be prepared to travel to high-risk areas.
Demonstrate accurate, independent, disciplined, and dependable work within a team environment.

Requirements

Captain Minimum Requirements:

1,500 hours total flight time.
750 hours total Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
450 hours on type (B1900).
250 hours PIC time on type (B1900).
Ability and willingness to undertake contract work for periods of six to nine weeks.
Willingness to fly charter from Lanseria when Johannesburg-based.
Willingness to travel to high-risk areas.

First Officer Minimum Requirements:

500 hours total flight time.
100 hours total PIC time.
100 hours on type (B1900).
Ability and willingness to undertake contract assignments lasting six to nine weeks.
Willingness to travel to high-risk areas.
Willingness to fly charter from Lanseria as required.

General Requirements:

CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) required.
FATPL (Frozen ATPL) advantageous.
ATPL_ICAO (Airline Transport Pilot Licence - ICAO) considered.
B1900 Type Rating required.
An ATP (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) would be advantageous for Captains.
