Quantum Spatial Inc. is the largest, most technically advanced full-service geospatial solutions provider in North America. We are seeking professional, motivated and collaborative pilots to join our amazing team. Our pilots are allowed to live wherever they want as long as they are proximate to a mid-tier airport from which to travel. They are deployed for 16 days in the field followed by 12 consecutive days off. Pilots are flown to the aircraft in the field at the company’s expense and hotel, car and meal expenses are paid by the company while deployed. This position is included in the company’s hearing conservation program.


  • Pilot in Command responsible for the safe operation of NV5’s aircraft.
  • Conduct flights in compliance with FAA CFR 14 Part 91 regulations, aircraft limitations and company operating procedures.
  • Mission planning including aircraft performance calculations, weather interpretation, ground support coordination, air traffic control coordination and client coordination.
  • Effectively work with the sensor operators to safely and efficiently complete each mission.
  • Communicate with the Director of Maintenance and Airframe & Powerplant Maintenance Technicians to track and schedule all maintenance on NV5’s aircraft ensuring the airworthiness of the aircraft.
  • Manage FAA record compliance.
  • Supervise vendor compliance including fueling and outsourced maintenance.
  • Maintain all required charts, publications and manuals for currency.
  • Maintain all avionics downloads for charts services.
  • Move the aircraft in and out of hangar.
  • Perform a preflight and a post flight inspection of the aircraft which includes cleaning the inside and exterior of the aircraft after each flight.
  • Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
  • Conduct seasonal maintenance at company facilities as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must hold at least an FAA Commercial Pilots License with a multi-engine rating if flying multi-engine aircraft,
  • an instrument rating
  • 2 nd class medical certificate
  • High School Diploma
  • valid driver’s license
  • a minimum of 1,000 hours total time and 250 hours of multi-engine time if flying a multi-engine aircraft
