Position Objective

The Pilot In Command operates within the flight crew division of our premier charter flight operations. This role is paramount in delivering exceptional service to charter clientele through a deep and comprehensive understanding of company procedures and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. The Flight Operations department is dedicated to providing safe, secure, and convenient air transportation that precisely meets client demands.

A distinctive aspect of the Million Air/American Jet team's mission is its focus on life-saving operations, offering a unique lifestyle opportunity that diverges from the typical Part 135 pilot experience with extended periods away from home and family. The Part 135 charter fleet comprises a diverse range of mid-cabin aircraft, including the CE-500. Comprehensive aircraft-specific training will be provided to qualified candidates with the requisite hours.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Ensures the highest standards of safety are consistently maintained and never compromised, collaborating closely with the Safety Manager.
• Greets customers in a professional and friendly manner, fostering a strong rapport with aircraft owners and passengers.
• Conducts thorough inspections of the aircraft to ensure pristine cleanliness and optimal upkeep prior to customer arrival.
• Maintains clear, frequent, and timely communication in person, via phone, and through email, proactively advising flight operations of specific customer preferences.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports directly to the Chief Pilot.

Work Environment

The role operates within a dynamic and professional aviation environment, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and stationary aircraft.

Position Type and Schedule Expectations

This is an exempt position requiring significant scheduling flexibility. It includes varying duty schedules, which necessitate working evenings, weekends, and scheduled company holidays. Travel is primarily limited to flight duties.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:
  • An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is highly preferred.
  • Possession of a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Meets the requirements of 14 CFR Part 135.243(a)(1) & (c).
  • Eligible for entry into Canada via CANPASS.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 2000 hours total flight time is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Part 135 charter operations is highly desirable.
  • Must be, or become, highly knowledgeable of 14 CFR and all applicable FAA regulations.
• Additional Eligibility:
  • Possesses an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Complies with our strict zero-tolerance drug-free workplace policy.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes of the base airport.
