Aviation Professionals Sought for Aerial Firefighting Role

Metrea Aerospace is actively recruiting skilled and dedicated aviation professionals to join its expanding aerial firefighting division. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced pilots to contribute to critical environmental protection efforts.

Key Role Requirements:

• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 500 flight hours as Pilot-in-Command is required.
• Type Rating: A specific type rating is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided by Metrea Aerospace.
• Flight Experience: Candidates must demonstrate significant flight experience, including:
  • Over 200 flight hours in an aerial firefighting capacity.
  • A minimum of 100 flight hours at night.
  • A minimum of 75 flight hours under instrument flight rules (IFR).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in aerial firefighting (AFF) operations utilizing large aircraft, particularly turbo prop aircraft such as the DHC-8 or similar models, and proven expertise in retardant delivery, will be considered highly advantageous.
• Recent Flight Activity: Applicants must have logged at least 100 PIC flight hours within the preceding twelve months.
• Required Licenses: A Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine Rating (ME) are essential.
• License Holder Eligibility: Open to pilots holding licenses issued by EASA or FAA authorities.
• Medical Certification: A valid Class 1 Medical certificate is mandatory.

Additional Candidate Attributes:

Successful candidates will possess the ability to obtain a Canadian Foreign License Validation Certificate. Exceptional proficiency in both spoken and written English is a non-negotiable requirement. The role demands an ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a degree of autonomy. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to successfully complete the company's flight training program, showcasing mastery of job-specific requirements.
