Pilot-In-Command KC135 FT
Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) seeks a full-time Pilot-In-Command (PIC) to command its KC-135 tanker aircraft. This position is a work-from-home role based in Washington, DC.
The Pilot-In-Command is responsible for commanding a crew of three while responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency scenarios. He/She conducts procedurally correct and expeditious pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists, and documentation. The Pilot-In-Command maintains situational awareness and utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight. He/She adheres to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOP’s), Ground Operation Procedures (GOP’s) Current Read Files (CRFs) and Safety Notices and maintains all currencies, qualifications, and advanced systems knowledge as related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet. The Pilot-In-Command sets a high standard for providing customers with world-class air refueling.
Essential Functions:
- Commands a crew of 3 while responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency scenarios.
- Conducts procedurally correct and expeditious pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists, and documentation.
- Maintains Situational Awareness (SA) and uses Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight.
- Adheres to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOP’s), Ground Operation Procedures (GOP’s) Current Read Files (CRFs) and Safety Notices.
- Maintains all currencies, qualifications and advanced systems knowledge as related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet.
Competencies:
- Sets a high standard for providing customers with world-class air refueling.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Foreflight.
- Must have the ability to travel at least 7 days per month.
Required Education, Experience, and Certificates:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1000 hours in a KC-135 Aircraft
- 1500 total hours (with military conversion rate of 1 military hour equal to 1.2 civilian hours)
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs
- ATP Multi-Engine Land with B-707 and B-720 Type Ratings (Restricted ATP is permissible)
- Current FAA Flying Class 2 Physical
- Current US Passport
- Must be able to hold & maintain a Secret (or higher) clearance level.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Certificates:
- US Air Force Instrument/Qualification, KC-135 checkride in the last year
- KC-135R IP/EP in the last 51 months, Block 30 and MPRS experience
- Current CFI certificate
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Employee must be a US citizen.
Employee must be able to hold and maintain a Top Secret (or higher) Clearance Level.
Salary: $86.50 Hourly
