Aviation Pilot
Meijer Aviation is seeking a qualified and experienced Pilot to join its team. The Pilot will provide safe, efficient, convenient, and secure air transportation for Meijer team members and designated guests of Meijer and its subsidiary companies. When assigned as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for a trip, the Captain assumes command responsibility for the aircraft and crew, and is operationally responsible to the Chief Pilot. The Pilot will work within Meijer Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer service. The position requires residing within a 45-minute commute to Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates, if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft.
- Compute aircraft weight and balance and aircraft performance.
- Flight plan using current weather conditions, forecasts, trends, NOTAMS, and TFRs for points of departure, destination, and alternates along the route of flight.
- Ensure that all pilot qualifications and documentation are current and meet regulations for federal and state operations.
- Participate in Meijer Aviation’s Safety Management System.
- Address passenger needs such as security requirements, ground transportation, catering, and baggage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- Airline Transport Pilot license.
- Valid Passport or ability to obtain one.
- 4000 hours total flight time with 1,000 turbine multi-engine time.
