Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a professional First Officer to join the Aviation team. The First Officer serves as a vital partner to the Captain, ensuring safe, efficient, and comfortable travel for company employees and guests. The successful candidate will maintain a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional passenger service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pilot Monitoring, overseeing flight instruments, radio communications, and navigation to support the Captain.
  • Assist in preparing flight plans, monitoring weather reports, and calculating fuel requirements and aircraft performance data.
  • Ensure all flight operations strictly adhere to FAA regulations, company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and airport guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
  • Provide professional customer service to all passengers.
  • Coordinate ground logistics, including transportation, fueling, and hangar services.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft logbooks, flight records, and expense reports.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the company Safety Management System (SMS).

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or 2+ years of college education.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Cessna Citation CE 500 SIC Type Rating.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time in a variety of aircraft.
  • 1 year of pilot experience.
  • Proficiency with aviation-related iPad applications.
  • Competency in Google Workspace.
  • Ability to interpret technical procedures, government regulations, and business periodicals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent mathematical proficiency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business aviation regulations, including FARs and applicable Federal, State, and Local guidelines.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting 15–50 pounds, occasionally exceeding 75 pounds.
  • Required visual acuity, including close and distance vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree.
  • 100 hours of jet experience in aircraft of the same or similar category, class, and type as those operated by McKee Foods.
  • Experience operating in a structured crew environment.
  • Additional Type Ratings: Cessna Citation CE 500 and EMB 145.

Compensation and Schedule

Salary Range: $98,700 – $133,500 per year (Salaried grade 11 or 13), commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule: 1st Shift (Sunday – Friday). Hours vary based on business needs; typically involves flying approximately three days per week.
