The Chief Pilot is responsible for Flight Dept. (staff of 3) and is the primary pilot of the Company aircraft. Responsible for the safe conduct of all flights to and ensures compliance with all Federal, state, local and foreign regulations, as well as the policies and procedures specified in the company operations manual. This position is the company’s most visible representative to the passengers and must act with tact and decorum while ensuring an efficient and safe operation. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pilot in command (PIC) of flights
  • Complying with schedules, and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation, and ensuring that pre-flight inspections are performed
  • Studying weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points and preparing flight plans.
  • Ensuring the aircraft is clean & prepared for flight with all provisions on board for safety and comfort of the passengers.
  • Responsible for discharging safety responsibilities and providing excellent customer service to passengers.
  • Managing the day-to-day accounting of the aircraft and facility. Coordinating budgets, expenses, insurance, fuel costs, catering and crew costs.
  • Overseeing the department and Aircraft staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Higher College Degree
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate / FAA Air Transport Pilot Certificate / FCC Restricted Radio/Telephone permit.
  • A total of 5000 hours of total flight time with 100 hours in the past 12 months; including 1,000 hours of multi-engine, 100 hours of recent multi-engine turbine or type rating, and 250 hours of instrument.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, Corporate Flight department is a 24/7 - 365 working environment.
  • Must have a current passport and international experience.
  • Requires in depth functional knowledge of area.
  • Should have knowledge of the McCormick business and the industry. Familiar with government regulations and IS-BAO.
  • Must stay up-to-date with ever-changing environment, both domestically and internationally.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact with and provide superior customer service to all levels.
  • Frequently interacts with Executives (CEO, CFO, etc.…) and internal and external parties (US Customs, Customers ).
  • Regular interactions with the manufacturer for technical support.
  • Technical-Familiar with and following all FARs and company policies pertinent to assigned duties Leadership-Supervisory experience or experience leading a team.
  • Technical-Basic knowledge of accounting and experience managing a budget.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Managerial experience in aviation discipline
  • Secondary language skills
  • Proven record of leadership
