George J. Priester Aviation is seeking an experienced Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Pilot to operate the King Air 200 aircraft as a single pilot. This position is based in Durango, Colorado (DRO) and supports critical-care air ambulance operations for Flight for Life Colorado / Mayo Aviation, covering the Front Range and surrounding states. The role operates within a Part 135 / Part 91 environment with a 7-on/7-off roster and 12-hour shifts.

About the Role

The Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Pilot will be responsible for executing critical-care flights, averaging approximately 800 miles, from the Durango, CO (DRO) facility. Duties include operating the King Air 200 as a single pilot, conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, and adhering to all FAA and company regulations. The pilot will also supervise the safe loading of patients, medical crew, and equipment, manage weight and balance, and coordinate effectively with ground crews and medical teams. Upholding FAA regulations, Flight for Life procedures, company flight operations manuals, and contributing to Mayo Aviation's Safety Management System are key responsibilities.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, accompanied by a valid U.S. passport.
• A strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• A current First Class Medical Certificate.
• An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not a mandatory requirement.
• Minimum flight experience: 2,500 hours total time, including 500 hours in multi-engine aircraft and 1,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
• A proven, impeccable safety record.
• Single-pilot and mountain terrain experience are preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English.
• Must reside within a one-hour radius of Durango, CO (DRO) or be willing to relocate.
• Availability and ability to work 12-hour shifts.
