Cadet Pilot Programme

Position Summary

Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG) invites ambitious and dedicated individuals to embark on an exceptional career path through its prestigious Cadet Pilot Programme. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring aviators to receive world-class training and chart a course to becoming a professional airline pilot with a leading name in the aviation industry. We are seeking passionate candidates who are ready to take to the skies and become part of our esteemed flight crew.

This programme is specifically designed for candidates who do not currently possess a Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR). Applicants who hold these licenses should refer to the appropriate application process for direct entry pilots.

Essential Requirements

• Must be a Malaysian Citizen.
• Aged between 18 and 32 years old at the date of selection.
• Minimum height of 158cm. Applications are welcome from all qualified individuals.
• Must be medically and physically fit, with perfect eyesight (visual acuity of at least 6/60 without optical aids, correctable to 6/6, and no colour blindness).
• Demonstrated proficiency in both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Academic Qualifications

Candidates must meet the minimum academic standards through one of the following pathways:

SPM or Equivalent Qualification

Applicants must hold an Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, with a minimum of 5 subjects, including:

• A minimum grade of (A) in Mathematics and English.
• A minimum grade of (A) in General Science OR a minimum grade of (B) in Physics.
• A pass in Bahasa Melayu.
• A minimum grade of (B) in two (2) other subjects.

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree

Alternatively, applicants may hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science-related discipline, meeting the following criteria:

• A minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• SPM (or equivalent) results with a minimum grade of (C) in Mathematics, Science or Physics, and English, in addition to a pass in Bahasa Melayu.
