Co-Pilot Position – CL-415 Aircraft
The Ministry of Natural Resources, Provincial Services Division – Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services, invites applications for three permanent Co-Pilot positions based in Dryden and Thunder Bay. Qualifications:
To be considered for an interview, applicants must demonstrate the following:
Mandatory Licensing and Requirements:
- Valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) endorsed for single and multi-engine land and sea fixed-wing aircraft.
- Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Restricted Radio Telephone Operator's Certificate.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Successful completion of Canadian/U.S. Transport Agency security screening.
- Minimum 2,000 hours of fixed-wing flight experience, including 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in float operations.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Aeronautics Act, Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), and Commercial Air Service Standards.
- Thorough understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
- Ability to understand and adhere to ministry air operations procedures for safe and compliant aircraft operation.
- Extensive knowledge of float, water-bombing, and instrument flight rules (IFR) transport flight operations.
- Understanding of worker responsibilities as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
