First Officer / Co-Pilot - Airline Operations
Job Summary
As a pivotal member of the flight crew, the First Officer serves as the Commander's deputy, operating in a piloting capacity. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support to the Commander in all aspects of flight management and aircraft control. The First Officer is instrumental in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations across diverse conditions, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-flight Preparation: Meticulously review and confirm all relevant aeronautical and meteorological information, aircraft technical status documentation, and anticipated load calculations to ensure flight readiness.
- Flight Deck Operations: Actively participate in and execute all normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures, including comprehensive checklist management and precise instrument approach procedures.
- Post-flight Documentation: Collaborate with the Commander to accurately complete and submit all required post-flight trip documentation.
- Aircraft Handovers: Efficiently manage the secure handover of the aircraft to the subsequent flight crew or designated maintenance personnel, ensuring proper configuration and security as required.
- Operational Compliance: Operate the aircraft safely and efficiently, taking into account all safety protocols, operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and company interests, across various conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with a frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A minimum of 0-2 years of flight experience as a pilot is required.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- Hold an ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Certificate at Level 4 or higher.
- Demonstrable knowledge of aviation principles, particularly within Flight Operations, ideally supported by 7 years of experience in an administrative capacity within the aviation sector.
Skills & Knowledge
- Successful completion of all relevant aircraft type rating courses and associated training programs.
- Comprehensive understanding of and strict adherence to company operational procedures, policies, and all applicable aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA, or local authority specific regulations).
- Exceptional situational awareness, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for effective cockpit resource management.
