Job Title: Aircraft Commander

Role Purpose

The Aircraft Commander exercises final authority regarding the safety and security of the aircraft throughout all phases of flight operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo from the point of door closure for taxi until engine shutdown at the completion of the flight.
  • Exercise final authority over the disposition of the aircraft and the maintenance of discipline among all persons on board.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all operational procedures, checklists, and regulatory requirements as outlined in the Operations Manual.
  • Verify that the aircraft’s airworthiness and maintenance status conform to all operational and regulatory standards.
  • Confirm that all operating crew members possess valid licenses, documentation, and ratings prior to flight operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with appropriate ratings.
  • Minimum Level 4 English Language Proficiency certification.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Must meet all flight hour requirements as stipulated in the company Operations Manual.
  • Minimum age of 25 years.
  • Completion of all required Command Courses and professional training.
  • Completion of Command Development and Leadership training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of company operational procedures and relevant regulatory standards.
