Aviation professionals are sought for the role of Fire Detection Pilot, operating under full-time, seasonal contracts. These positions are located throughout various regions of Ontario and Saskatchewan.
The Fire Detection Pilot serves a critical role in wildfire management, acting as Pilot-in-Command of a Cessna 337 Skymaster to execute VFR patrols. The primary responsibility is the detection of lightning and human-caused wildfires across Northern Ontario. These aerial patrols are integral to early wildfire identification, enabling prompt control efforts. This position supports both Fire and Survey contracts.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications: a valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence; a Category 1 Medical Certificate; and a Transport Canada Multi-Engine Rating. A valid Group 1 Instrument Rating is considered ideal, though not mandatory.
