About the Role

Luxair is seeking a dedicated Flight Attendant to join their team in Luxembourg. This role involves ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of passengers during all flight operations, adhering to company service standards, and maintaining effective communication within the crew. The position requires flexibility to work irregular schedules, including weekends and layovers.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties related to the safety and security of passengers and the flight during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
• Ensure effective communication between cabin and flight crew members according to applicable instructions for common language and terminology.
• Provide appropriate assistance to all types of special category passengers.
• Administer appropriate first aid measures for all types of medical emergencies, whether on the ground or inflight.
• Stay updated with all changes in regulations, documents, and instructions provided by Luxair, and update personal manuals as necessary.
• Ensure the wellbeing of guests according to applicable service instructions and commercial communication guidelines.
• Act in accordance with current applicable regulations and instructions, taking necessary responsibilities for In-flight Sales processes on Luxair flights.
• Maintain familiarity with all available reporting methods and communicate issues encountered during duty, including irregularities, feedback, and suggestions.

Requirements

• Secondary education diploma (Bac) or equivalent.
• Possession of a swimming and/or rescue certificate.
• Minimum age of 18 years and fitness for flights.
• Willingness to work irregular schedules and during weekends.
• Acceptance of layovers at outstations.
• Basic knowledge of standard office applications.
• Customer orientation, smart appearance, and adherence to internal uniform dress code.
• Good communication skills in English, French, and German (spoken and written).
• Ability to attend and successfully pass mandatory initial and recurrent training.

Desired Qualifications

• Excellent sense of customer contact and a highly service-oriented approach.
• Basic knowledge of Luxembourgish.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
• User skills in relevant departmental tools.
• Responsible, dynamic, team-oriented, and capable of dealing with stress.
• Knowledge of any other language is considered a significant asset.
