Aviation Theory Instructor
Lufthansa Aviation Training Center in Zurich, a premier training facility for Lufthansa Group pilots, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Aviation Theory Instructor. The instructor will guide aspiring pilots through their 24-month training program, preparing them for their future in the cockpit. This is a part-time, direct entry position in the field of training and education.
Responsibilities:
The Aviation Theory Instructor will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of airline pilots by:
- Introducing aspiring pilots (including ATPL candidates) to the principles of General Navigation, Radio Navigation, and Human Performance & Limitations.
- Supervising diploma theses within the "Dipl. Programm 'Pilot HF/Pilot HF'."
- Contributing to the development of innovative teaching materials and methodologies to continuously improve the training program.
- Implementing digital learning methods and promoting e-learning initiatives.
- Imparting practical knowledge essential for safe flight operations and precise navigation.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses a passion for aviation and a talent for conveying knowledge effectively. They should also have:
- Expertise in General Navigation, Radio Navigation, and Human Performance, or possess a valid or expired ATP/MPL license.
- Experience in adult education with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
- SVEB-1 certification is a plus, but not required.
- A proactive and goal-oriented work ethic.
- Fluency in German and English at a C1 level.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a bonus.
