C-130J Pilot Subject Matter Expert

Lockheed Martin seeks a dynamic and results-oriented C-130J Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join its team.
Role Overview
The C-130J Pilot SME plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for C-130J aircrew. The successful candidate will collaborate with instructors, Instructional Systems Design (ISD) personnel, and training staff to implement effective training solutions. This is a full-time, remote position operating on a non-standard 40-hour work week schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, edit, maintain, and review curriculum, course materials, objectives, and syllabi for new and existing courses.

Provide expert instruction to company personnel on C-130J operations, courseware, and Instructor Operating Station (IOS) operations.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of C-130J aircraft systems, normal and emergency operating procedures, local area procedures, safety requirements, and courseware standards.

Design and instruct simulator profiles, including briefings, mission management, and debriefings.

Evaluate, diagnose, and critique student performance, identifying learning difficulties and providing remedial instruction.

Deliver and evaluate instrument, qualification, and mission training to initial and requalification students.

Provide currency and refresher training for qualified C-130J crewmembers.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a closely related discipline.

Minimum of eight (8) years of flying experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of military flying experience.

At least 200 hours of experience as a flight instructor in the C-130J aircraft.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills

Prior experience with flight simulators.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional organizations.
