The Opportunity

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced F-35A Contractor Instructor Pilot (CIP) to join its team at the Łask Tactical Air Base in Łask, Poland. This critical position plays a pivotal role in the execution of Pilot Training Center (PTC) operations, providing essential support to the Poland Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the Polish Air Force (PLAF).

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting military pilots in maintaining and enhancing their qualification levels through comprehensive flight procedures training. This involves executing approved pilot training syllabi, facilitating upgrades, and conducting advanced tactics training within the Pilot Training Device environment, primarily utilizing the F-35 Full Mission Simulator (FMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Instructor Operating Station (IOS) to deliver F-35 pilot training.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for pilot training and tactics development, providing recommendations for courseware updates.
• Provide academic training through Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW).
• Instruct pilots in complex flight procedures and advanced techniques during both ground school courses and simulator flight training sessions.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans tailored to specific training objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to meet F-35 training and continuation training objectives.
• Assist in the development of training schedules and ensure meticulous maintenance of training records.
• Verify that all course standards, training requirements, and objectives are consistently met by each student.
• Evaluate and monitor students' performance, providing constructive feedback and assessments.
• Comply strictly with site security and access control procedures in accordance with F-35 program and customer protocols.
• Implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall program success.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Possession of an active Secret security clearance with final adjudication within the last five years, with the ability to qualify for and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Demonstrated fighter flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft.
• In-depth knowledge of military publications and a comprehensive understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft training operations.
• Prior experience delivering military pilot academic instruction and simulator training, coupled with familiarity with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
• Proven ability to work effectively in an environment requiring interaction with multiple functional areas and personnel from diverse backgrounds and expertise levels.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong leadership traits, and outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Solid organizational skills and a strong commitment to achieving customer satisfaction.
• Experience in evaluating personnel performance and completing performance appraisals.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• An appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with the assignment, is required.

Desired Skills

• Previous experience as an F-35 Contractor Instructor Pilot (CIP) or F-35 Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Over 1000 hours of fighter flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
• Prior fighter experience instructing basic qualification students.
• Familiarity with F-35 tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Familiarity with F-35 program requirements.
• Familiarity with the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) program.
• Previous experience collaborating with the Polish Air Force (PLAF) customer.
• Familiarity with Poland's flight rules, procedures, and aviation operations.
