The H145 Instructor Pilot will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive ground and flight instruction, encompassing a wide array of basic and advanced training modules.
Key Responsibilities
The H145 Instructor Pilot will be entrusted with comprehensive instructional duties and operational support, including:
- Delivering expert ground and flight instruction in strict accordance with approved syllabi for both basic and advanced courses. This includes specialized training such as H145 conversion, Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations, hoist operations, and tactical flying.
- Conducting rigorous Functional Check Flights (FCF) on the H145 helicopter to ensure optimal performance, safety, and operational readiness.
- Developing and meticulously writing detailed training plans tailored to meet specific operational requirements and objectives.
- Ensuring all regulatory documentation and operational procedures are continuously updated and remain in full compliance with current aviation regulations and standards.
- Creating, maintaining, and regularly reviewing comprehensive training materials, syllabi, examinations, and related publications specifically for the H145 platform.
- Meticulously maintaining and updating training files and records for all aircrew operating the H145 helicopter.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this pivotal role must possess a distinguished aviation background and demonstrate exceptional expertise. Essential qualifications and experience include:
- Must be a Qualified Instructor Pilot (IP) from a globally recognized and accredited aviation institution.
- Possession of a valid FAA, EASA, ATP, CFi, CFII, SOI (Simulator Operator Instructor), or an equivalent instructor pilot certification is mandatory.
- A strong military aviation background is a prerequisite for this position.
- A minimum of 3,000 rotary-wing flight hours.
- Within the total flight hours, a minimum of 1,000 hours must be logged as an Instructor Pilot (IP).
- A minimum of 500 hours of Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight experience.
- A minimum of 100 hours specifically on the H145 or EC145 helicopter type.
- Completion of at least 100 flight hours within the last 12 months to demonstrate current flying proficiency.
- Proven operational experience in hoist operations, NVG training, Functional Check Flights (FCF), and tactical flying methodologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for documentation, presentations, and data management.
