Role Overview
The H145 Instructor Pilot will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive ground and flight instruction, encompassing both basic and advanced training modules. Key areas of instruction include Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations, hoist procedures, tactical flying techniques, and aircraft conversion courses. This role demands a high degree of instructional expertise and operational proficiency to ensure the highest standards of aircrew training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert ground and flight instruction, strictly adhering to approved syllabi for basic and advanced courses, including but not limited to conversion training, NVG operations, hoist procedures, and tactical flight.
- Conduct thorough Functional Check Flights (FCF) on the H145 helicopter to ensure operational integrity and airworthiness.
- Develop and author precise training plans tailored to evolving operational requirements and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all regulatory documentation and operational procedures are consistently updated in compliance with current aviation regulations and internal guidelines.
- Create, maintain, and regularly review and revise comprehensive training materials, syllabi, examinations, and related publications specific to the H145 platform.
- Accurately maintain and update training files for all aircrew operating the H145 helicopter platform.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of an Instructor Pilot qualification from a globally recognized and accredited aviation institution is mandatory.
- Valid FAA/EASA/ATP/CFi/CFII/SOI (Simulator Operator Instructor) or an equivalent certification is required.
- A strong military aviation background is essential for this role.
- A minimum of 3,000 hours of total rotary-wing flight time, including:
- At least 1,000 hours as an Instructor Pilot (IP).
- A minimum of 500 hours conducting Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations.
- At least 100 hours specifically on the H145/EC145 helicopter type.
- Demonstrable recent flight experience, with a minimum of 100 flight hours completed within the last 12 months.
- Extensive operational experience in hoist operations, NVG training, Functional Check Flights (FCF), and tactical flying environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
