Life Flight Network seeks a full-time Float Fixed Wing Pilot to operate Pilatus aircraft for patient transport. This role is based in Boise, ID, and Richland, WA, requiring coverage of open shifts due to line pilot leave.
About the Role
The Float Fixed Wing Pilot ensures the safe operation of Pilatus aircraft for transporting critically ill and injured patients. Responsibilities include pre-flight and post-flight inspections, flight planning, loading patients, passengers, and cargo, and weather analysis. This position involves varied shifts, potential on-call availability, and adherence to Life Flight Network's safety and risk-management protocols. The pilot will also maintain logs and records, prepare reports, and contribute to aircraft and facility cleanliness.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field preferred.

Minimum of six years of professional pilot experience.

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate (unrestricted or restricted).

Minimum flight experience thresholds:
-
2,500 hours airplane Pilot in Command (PIC) time.

1,000 hours in aircraft with retractable landing gear.

1,500 turbine hours.
-
500 hours in a turboprop aircraft.

250 instrument hours.

250 hours of unaided night experience.

Preferred experience includes 25 hours operating a PC-12 with successful ground and flight school completion within the previous 12 months, recent air-medical transportation, and mountain experience.

Current FAA Second Class flight physical.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective customer service skills.

Ability to travel by personal or company vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.

Maintain an automobile in good repair and provide proof of auto insurance.

If a single-engine ATP is not held at hire, it must be obtained during initial-hire training or by the first annual recurrent training event. The applicant is responsible for the written ATP examination fee, while Life Flight Network covers the checkride.
