Airborne and Ground Tactical Systems Operator (TSO) Instructor

Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Airborne and Ground Tactical Systems Operator (TSO) Instructor to join its team at Hurlburt Field, FL. The TSO Instructor plays a critical role in shaping the future of AFSOC’s elite operators by delivering cutting-edge training through ground, simulator, and airborne events.

Responsibilities:

The TSO Instructor will:

  • Review, develop, and adapt TSO simulator scenarios to maintain relevance and challenge.
  • Prepare engaging and educational course materials.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and conduct classroom and in-flight training sessions.
  • Track and implement changes to certification requirements, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Liaise between ISRG, subordinate squadrons, and elements of the intelligence community.
  • Instruct students on TSO equipment, providing expert guidance before, during, and after simulator and airborne training.
  • Conduct training in both classroom and in-flight environments.
  • Assist with TSO FTU training and ISRG training office functions, including administrative duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree).
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Previous qualification and experience as an airborne Tactical Systems Operator, including TSO instructor experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the TSO mission and Special Operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Experience in developing and refining training plans.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain flight requirements, including a second-class FAA medical certificate and physiological training.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The pay range for this position is $63,700.00 – $115,150.00. Leidos is an equal opportunity employer/disability/vet.
