UH-60 Blackhawk Instructor Pilot
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced UH-60 Blackhawk Instructor Pilot to support the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program at the Western Army Aviation Training Site (WAATS) in Marana, AZ. This individual will deliver in-flight instruction of assigned UH-60 A/L aircraft, conduct instructor qualification courses, and facilitate readiness level progressions, including regional and foreign military training. The selected candidate will perform instructor operator tasks and platform academic instruction to support the AATS student training mission, adhering to AR 95-1, TRADOC Programs of Instruction, UH-60 dATM, and local AATS SOPs, as well as DCMA INST 8210-1D requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include maintaining training records, providing instruction and evaluation to student pilots, conducting daily academic instruction of approved Programs of Instruction, facilitating pre-mission planning and after-action reviews, completing all Aircrew Training Program (ATP) requirements, coordinating daily tasks of contract employees, ensuring compliance with Army, National Guard, and AATS policies, coordinating with the Government Flight Representative (GFR), and reporting flight and operation data.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma with eight years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's Degree with four years of experience, a minimum of 250 military Instructor Pilot (IP) flight hours or two years of IP experience at a USAACE-approved or OASS-accredited program, USAACE/AATS qualified IP in the relevant aircraft, Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualification (or ability to complete within 12 months of hire), FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, FAA Second Class flight physical or Army Class 2 FDME, and experience as an SP, IE, or IP in a OASS school, MTOE, or TDA organization. Candidates must also meet instructor qualification requirements per TR 350-10 and TR 350-70, adhere to minimum qualifications prescribed by DCMA INST 8210.1D, and obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, prior IP experience at EAATS, HAATS, WAATS, or the U.S. Army Aviation Training Center, and a USAACE qualified Instrument Flight Examiner (IFE) designation. The anticipated pay range for this position is $85,150.00 to $153,925.00.
