UH-60 Simulator Instructor Operator - Camp Ripley, MN
Leidos, a leading provider of innovative solutions, is seeking a skilled and experienced UH-60 Simulator Instructor Operator to join its team supporting the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program at Camp Ripley, MN.
About the Opportunity:
Leidos is the prime contractor for the ATSOS program, providing comprehensive aviation training services, including flight training, simulation training, classroom instruction, and schoolhouse support. Responsibilities:
The Simulator Instructor Operator will play a vital role in delivering high-quality simulation training to AATS students and regional users. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing simulated flight training with a focus on aircraft systems, emergency procedures, and instrument flight procedures.
- Developing and maintaining mission training scenarios for regional users.
- Delivering instruction and evaluation to student pilots according to approved course curricula.
- Providing Aircrew Coordination Training-Enhanced (ACT-E) training.
- Maintaining training records for formal course students and readiness level (RL) progression trainees.
- Conducting academic platform instruction for various courses, including Instructor Operator, Instrument Flight Examiner, and AATS programs.
- Facilitating pre-mission planning and after-action reviews for all simulation periods.
- Adhering to all aircrew training program (ATP) requirements.
- Developing, updating, and publishing training schedules.
- Conducting annual simulation scheduling conferences.
- Tracking schedule changes and preparing monthly reports.
- Coordinating with maintenance contractors to ensure optimal simulator performance.
- Coordinating with unit course managers, the National Guard Bureau, and PEO-STRI representatives to maximize simulator utilization.
- Verifying and correcting contractor performance reports.
- Maintaining a comprehensive publication library for all simulators.
- Serving as a RFMSS Fire Desk Operator for scheduling simulator training periods.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience.
- Qualified as an Instructor Pilot in the respective aircraft simulator and an Instrument Flight Examiner, or possess documented three years of experience as an Aviation Simulator I/O in the required aircraft device.
- USAACE / AATS qualified Instructor Pilot in the airframe for which simulation duties will be performed or have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an I/O in assigned device.
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified; or successfully graduate from a AATS provided ABIC course within 12 months of contractor employee start date.
- Must meet instructor qualification requirements as defined by the Aviation proponent and IAW TR 350-10, TR 350-70.
- Qualified as a unit trainer, an instructor pilot or a maintenance test flight examiner with demonstrated simulator operations experience.
- USAACE qualified Instrument Flight Examiner.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $49,400.00 - $89,300.00. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, and other factors.
