Leidos, a leader in innovative solutions delivery, seeks a highly skilled UH-60A/L/M Blackhawk Instructor Pilot to join its esteemed Airborne ISR Systems Division. This exceptional opportunity, based in Marana, AZ, directly supports the Army National Guard (ANG) Aviation Training Services and Operational Support (ATSOS) program.
About the Role:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in training the next generation of Army National Guard pilots. Responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of instructional activities, including:
- Delivering comprehensive instruction and evaluations to student pilots, adhering to Training Support Packages for AATS-approved courses.
- Providing engaging academic instruction across various courses, including Aircraft Qualification, Instructor Pilot, Aircraft Standardization, and Maintenance Test Pilot courses.
- Spearheading pre-mission planning and insightful after-action reviews for all flights and simulated training exercises.
- Maintaining meticulous training records for formal course students, ensuring compliance with unit and readiness level progression requirements.
- Collaborating effectively with AATS chains of command to coordinate daily tasks, optimize work schedules, and ensure seamless training operations.
- Upholding the highest standards of professionalism while adhering to all applicable Army, National Guard, and AATS policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 12 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience.
- Minimum 250 military IP Flight Hours or 2 years of IP experience within a USAACE-approved or OASS-accredited program.
- USAACE/AATS (or equivalent Army-approved NET) qualified IP in the relevant aircraft type.
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualification, or demonstrable ability to successfully complete an AATS-provided ABIC course within 12 months of employment.
- FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- FAA Second Class flight physical or an Army Class 2 FDME.
- Demonstrated experience as an SP, IE, and/or IP in an OASS school, MTOE, or TDA organization.
- Proven ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Previous IP experience at EAATS, HAATS, WAATS, or the U.S. Army Aviation Training Center.
- USAACE-qualified Instrument Flight Examiner (IFE) designation.
Leidos Offers a Competitive Compensation Package:
The pay range for this position is $101,400.00 - $183,300.00. Final compensation will be determined based on a comprehensive assessment of the candidate's skills, experience, education, and market factors.
