Second In Command (Co-Pilot) - King Air 350
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and professional Second In Command (Co-Pilot) to support OCONUS flight operations for the King Air 350. This position requires exceptional aviation expertise, safety awareness, and a dedicated customer focus in an austere mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities

Perform pre-flight planning and comprehensive aircraft pre-flight checks.

Coordinate effectively with Airborne Sensor Operators (ASOs) to ensure successful mission execution.

Monitor all aspects of flight operations, including airspace, weather conditions, radio communications, mission boundaries, and aircraft systems.

Maintain high standards of crew resource management (CRM), safety protocols, and customer relations.

Operate military turboprop aircraft in strict accordance with AR 95-20, program policies, and established procedures.

Identify aircraft maintenance requirements and coordinate all necessary corrective actions.

Ensure all safety-of-flight documentation is completed in compliance with applicable industry and U.S. Army standards.

Reside and perform professional duties in austere OCONUS environments.
Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience (additional years of aviation experience may be substituted for the degree).

Flight Experience:
1,000 hours of total documented flight time, 500 hours of PIC total time, and 100 hours of multi-engine time.

Certifications:
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate; valid FAA Commercial Airplane and Airplane Airman Certificate; Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings.

Clearance/Citizenship:
U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Documentation:
Valid passport and state driver’s license.

General:
Minimum age of 21; proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Readiness:
Ability to meet all contractual/program training and DoD medical requirements for OCONUS travel, including the completion of CONUS Replacement Courses (CRC) within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

300 hours PIC time in King Air 300/350 or similar multi-engine, turboprop aircraft.

200 hours of actual instrument time.

200 hours of turbine time.
-
Proline 21 experience.

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.

Rating held for the last two consecutive years.

Prior experience as a U.S. Military, Customs, DEA, or U.S. Contracting ISR Pilot.

Experience as a U.S. Military Standardization Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, or Maintenance Pilot.
-
Prior OCONUS rotation experience, particularly in the current area of operation.
