Lauda Europe offers a challenging and rewarding career path for dedicated aviation professionals. The airline invites applications from experienced Pilots in Command (PIC) who hold a current Type Rating on the Airbus A320, A330, or A340 aircraft families and who meet stringent experience thresholds for multi-crew jet operations.
Minimum Eligibility and Flight Time Requirements
Candidates must satisfy the following essential criteria. All experience must be recorded on relevant multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator, or military transport, especially concerning aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW).
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3,500 hours.
- Total Multi-Engine Time: A minimum of 2,000 hours on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW.
- Total Jet Time: A minimum of 800 hours accumulated on jet aircraft.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 800 hours PIC on a Multi-crew, Multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW. (PIC hours on Turboprop aircraft are not considered for this requirement).
- PIC Time on Type: A minimum of 500 hours PIC on the A320 Family, A330, A340, or a combination of hours across these types.
Licensing, Recency, and Administrative Requirements
Prospective Captains must demonstrate full compliance with international aviation licensing and medical standards:
- Licence Requirement: Must possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Licence Type Acceptance: Applications are open to EASA Part FCL holders (UK licences accepted for initial application only) or National Licences compliant with ICAO standards. Please note: FAA licences cannot be accepted.
- Validation: ICAO licence holders will be required to obtain Maltese (TM-CAD) validation.
- Type Rating: The A320, A330, or A340 Type Rating must be currently listed on the licence.
- Recency Requirement: The candidate must have operated on the A320, A330, or A340 as Commander within the 36 months preceding the intended course start date.
- Rating Expiration: The application must be submitted within 36 months of the most recent "Valid Until" date specified in Section XII, "Certificate of Revalidation" for the A320/A330/A340 Rating. The rating must not have expired for longer than three years prior to the course commencement.
- Medical Certification: Must hold a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Proficiency: Minimum required ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level is 4.
- Right to Work: The candidate must possess an unrestricted right to live and work within the European Union (EU).
- Security and Background Checks: Applicants must successfully pass an enhanced background check and meet all regulatory requirements stipulated by Lauda Europe and relevant authorities.
- Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not provided for this role.
