Airline Captain (Airbus A320 / A330 / A340)
Lauda Europe is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced Airline Captains to join its distinguished flight crew. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 3,500 hours total flight time.
- At least 800 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW). Please note that PIC hours on turboprop aircraft will not be considered towards this requirement.
- A minimum of 500 hours PIC specifically on the Airbus A320 Family, A330, or A340 aircraft, or a combination thereof.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours on a multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW, gained with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator, or military transport.
- At least 800 hours on jet aircraft.
Licensing and Ratings:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A current Airbus A320 Family, A330, or A340 type rating must be listed on the license.
- Accepted licenses include EASA Part FCL (UK licenses are accepted for application purposes only) or a National Licence compliant with ICAO standards. Please note that FAA licenses cannot be accepted.
- Applicants holding ICAO licenses will be required to obtain Maltese Civil Aviation Directorate (TM-CAD) validation.
Recency and Medical:
- The applicant must have operated as Commander on an A320, A330, or A340 aircraft within 36 months prior to the intended course start date.
- The application must be submitted within 36 months of the "Valid Until" date specified in Section XII "Certificate of Revalidation" for the A320, A330, or A340 rating. This stipulation means the type rating must not have expired for longer than three years at the anticipated Occupational/Conversion Course (OCC/CCQ) commencement date.
- A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated English Language Proficiency (ELP) at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Possession of an unrestricted right to live and work within the European Union.
- The ability to successfully pass an enhanced background check and fulfil all other applicable regulatory requirements.
