Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates for the Captain position at Lauda Europe are expected to meet the following stringent criteria:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 3500 hours total flight time.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time:
- At least 800 hours as Pilot in Command.
- A minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command on the A320 Family, A330, or A340 aircraft, or a combination of hours across these types.
- The 800 hours of PIC time must be accumulated on a multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW. PIC hours on turboprop aircraft will not be considered.
- Multi-Engine Aircraft Experience: A minimum of 2000 hours on a multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft weighing in excess of 30,000kg MTOW, gained with an established airline, cargo operator, private operator, or military transport.
- Jet Aircraft Experience: A minimum of 800 hours on jet aircraft.
- Licence and Ratings:
- Holds a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- The licence must be an EASA Part FCL licence. UK licences are accepted for application purposes only. National licences compliant with ICAO standards are also accepted, though ICAO licences will require Maltese TM-CAD validation. FAA licences cannot be accepted.
- Must possess a current and valid A320 Family, A330, or A340 type rating explicitly listed on the licence.
- The application must be submitted within 36 months of the most recent "Valid Until" date for the A320/A330/A340 rating, as specified in Section XII "Certificate of Revalidation." This stipulates that the A320/A330/A340 rating must not have expired for longer than three years at the intended course commencement date.
- Recency: Must have operated as Commander on the A320, A330, or A340 within 36 months prior to the course start date.
- Medical Certificate: Holds a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: Possesses ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher.
- Right to Work: Possesses an unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union.
- Background Checks: Must be able to successfully pass an enhanced background check and satisfy all other regulatory requirements.
- Visa Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Requirements for COVID-19 vaccination status are not specified for this role.
